In a stunning display of skill and determination, Arsenal clinched a resounding 4-0 victory over Ipswich Town, putting a serious dent in Liverpool's hopes of claiming the Premier League title. Leandro Trossard shined brightly with two goals, while Ipswich's Leif Davis was shown a red card for a reckless challenge on Bukayo Saka.

With this win, Arsenal secured their position at 66 points, firmly in second place, as Liverpool eyed the title while facing a relegation-threatened Leicester City shortly after.

From the very first whistle, Arsenal showcased their ambition to delay Liverpool's coronation. The breakthrough came in the 14th minute; a spectacular run from Martin Odegaard set the stage, ultimately allowing Trossard to find the back of the net despite a slip that almost cost him the shot.

The Gunners' second goal exemplified their superiority: Saka’s electrifying run down the right flank culminated in a clever pass to Mikel Merino, who cleverly set up Gabriel Martinelli for an easy close-range score.

Things took a turn for the worse for Ipswich just after the half-hour mark as Davis earned a straight red card after severely challenging Saka, leaving Ipswich fighting with ten men.

Despite the disadvantage, Ipswich attempted to fight back, with striker George Hirst nearly finding the net, only to miss by a whisker. Unfortunately for the home team, it was one of only four shots they managed throughout the entire match—none of which were on target.

Trossard notched his second goal in the 69th minute, followed by a late fourth from Ethan Nwaneri, sealing Ipswich’s fate as they remain in the relegation zone with just 21 points. Should they falter again or if 17th-placed West Ham United gathers even a single point in their next five matches, the drop will be confirmed.

Despite the loss, Trossard remains optimistic about Arsenal's campaign. "We don’t need to look at Liverpool; we just need to focus on our game and take it one match at a time. Winning today gives us the momentum to keep pushing forward," he asserted. "We’re here for a reason, and our Champions League performance shows we can compete at any level. We must keep believing!"
