Luxury automobile manufacturer Bentley has just unveiled an innovative painting technique that promises to revolutionize the way we view bespoke vehicle aesthetics.

This meticulous process takes over 70 hours to complete and has been masterfully executed in collaboration with renowned artist Stephen Selzer.

Introducing the Remarkable Two-Tone Fade Effect

Bentley’s new two-tone fade effect adds a captivating visual depth to its vehicles.

With this technique, the transition between two carefully chosen colors is so smooth that it appears almost seamless at first glance.

The design features a sharp line that rises dramatically along the rear door of the Bentayga SUV, cleverly masking the ombre effect's true origins, which begin much earlier on the front fender.

For the inaugural showcase of this technique, Bentley has chosen three distinct examples of the Bentayga Victoris, each adorned with a unique color scheme.

The top sections feature colors like Candy, Moonbeam, and Anthracite, while the lower sections gracefully blend into shades such as Cricketball, Anthracite, and Extreme Silver.

Executed at Bentley’s Excellence Centre for Paint in Crewe, the painting process is complex and requires precise alignment of various components such as bumpers and door handles, with an accuracy within 2 mm.

This meticulous attention to detail ensures a flawless finish that embodies Bentley's commitment to craftsmanship.

A Charitable Initiative with a Purpose

These exceptional Bentayga Victoris models are set to make their debut at Bentley Dallas, where the dealership plans to auction them off to benefit three vital children's health charities: the Children’s Cancer Fund, Cook Children's Medical Centre, and Children’s Health.

Bentley Dallas anticipates that the sale will raise around $75,000, showcasing the brand's commitment not only to luxury but also to giving back to the community.

According to Hesham Algaghil, president of Bentley Dallas, “The message of Victoris embodies the triumph of resilience over adversity.

We hope to inspire owners to support our initiative and make a difference in the lives of children facing significant challenges.”

More Luxury on the Horizon?

While Bentley hasn’t announced plans to produce more vehicles with this exquisite dual-tone paint technique, the brand’s penchant for bespoke creations suggests that more such luxurious options could be on the way.

Each of the three Victoris Bentaygas begins with the powerful Bentayga V8 engine—boasting 542 horsepower and a staggering 568 lb-ft of torque—but for many potential buyers, aesthetics will undoubtedly reign supreme over performance.

As Bentley steadily pushes the boundaries of luxury and personalization, one can only wonder what other groundbreaking innovations are in store.
