HONG KONG: In a significant display of military prowess, an advanced Chinese warship, the Hainan, sailed into Hong Kong on Thursday, November 21, as part of a strategic publicity campaign to highlight the nation's increasingly formidable naval capabilities.

The Hainan is a remarkable 36,000-tonne helicopter-carrying amphibious assault ship that entered service in 2021 and is regarded as a groundbreaking addition to China's naval fleet.
