Chow Kok Keong, affectionately known as KK, has officially announced his departure from his position as Chief Creative Officer at INNOCEAN. This decision marks the end of an era for a visionary leader who has significantly influenced the creative landscape in Southeast Asia. After returning to Jakarta in 2022, KK took the reins at INNOCEAN following an impactful tenure as Regional Executive Creative Director at Hakuhodo, where he oversaw operations across Southeast Asia from hubs in Bangkok and Kuala Lumpur.
With an impressive career spanning over two decades, KK joined INNOCEAN with a clear goal: to revolutionize the creative vision of the agency. His strategic approach and innovative leadership not only enhanced INNOCEAN's creative stature but also facilitated notable growth for diverse clients spread across Indonesia, Singapore, and beyond.
Reflecting on his time at the agency, KK stated, "Two and a half years ago, I came in with a burning ambition to transform this young agency. Through persistence and a strong support system, I dedicated myself to building deep relationships with clients, all while showcasing our creative prowess throughout Indonesia and the wider region."
Under KK's guidance, INNOCEAN achieved extraordinary milestones, including a groundbreaking victory at D&AD, securing Indonesia's first and only Yellow Pencil for Project #YellowCanteen. This monumental win, alongside two Graphite Pencils and two Shortlists, catapulted the agency to an all-time high ranking of #2 in Asia and #29 globally in the D&AD 2024 Rankings—an unprecedented feat within the INNOCEAN network.
"We worked tirelessly as a team to generate impactful results for the agency. It's been an exhilarating journey filled with challenges and achievements. Now, after this rewarding yet demanding chapter, I'm excited to take a well-deserved break to recharge and reconnect with my family before embarking on my next adventure," KK added, hinting at future plans that remain under wraps.
KK's tenure leaves an indelible mark on the industry, as he has been celebrated as Indonesia's #1 most awarded Creative Director for five consecutive years in Campaign Brief Asia’s Creative Rankings.
