The Role of the Epidemiologist

As an Epidemiologist, you will lead efforts focused on malaria and neglected tropical diseases across Africa, designing and implementing disease surveillance systems and utilizing data to guide health strategies. This role goes beyond analysis to make a significant public health impact.

Key Responsibilities

1. Provide strategic leadership for malaria and NTD surveillance efforts, ensuring data informs decision-making.

2. Manage and oversee analytics and surveillance projects for effective interventions.

3. Develop and mentor a team of epidemiologists, promoting collaboration.

4. Communicate findings, represent CHAI in discussions, and influence health policy.

Qualifications Required

Ideal candidates should possess a DrPH or PhD in Public Health or Epidemiology with at least 7 years of relevant experience. Proficiency in data analysis and communication skills with government and partners are essential.
