EXO's Xiumin Faces Uncertain Stage Appearances for Solo Comeback

EXO's Xiumin, the well-loved member and solo artist, is reportedly unlikely to grace the stages of South Korea's most popular music shows like 'Music Bank,' 'Music Core,' and 'Inkigayo' during his recent solo comeback.

On March 13, KST, industry insiders revealed that Xiumin’s agency, ONE HUNDRED, is still awaiting confirmation from KBS2 regarding his participation in 'Music Bank,' which airs on March 14. Typically, agencies can finalize their artists' schedules 2-3 days prior to the show, indicating that time is running out for Xiumin to make an appearance for this week's live broadcast.

In addition, there are challenges for Xiumin regarding MBC's 'Show! Music Core,' which is set to air on Saturday, March 15. ONE HUNDRED has appealed for a pre-recording slot; however, sources indicate that due to a baseball match, this episode will not air, pushing any possible appearance to the following week. With a scheduled fan meeting the same day at 3:30 PM KST at Yonsei University’s Centennial Hall, it is increasingly unlikely for Xiumin to secure a pre-recording slot without conflicts.

Meanwhile, it's important to note that since November of the previous year, Xiumin's label hasn’t had any of its artists perform on SBS's 'Inkigayo,' following what many fans refer to as a "boycott" due to the show not promoting Baekhyun's comeback last September.

Adding to the tension, Xiumin also remains absent from the lineup for this week’s 'M! Countdown' on March 13, leaving fans puzzled about his potential appearances for the following week.

Despite these uncertainties, Xiumin delighted fans on March 10 with the release of his much-anticipated second solo mini-album 'Interview X' and the lively title track "WHEE!" The catchy song and the album symbolize a new chapter in his musical journey and fans are hopeful that they will get to see him perform live soon.
