SINGAPORE – Gain City Best-Electric, a renowned home-grown retail chain, has secured its place as Asia's most influential company, according to the prestigious Asia Corporate Excellence and Sustainability (Aces) Awards 2024. This accolade is a recognition of the company's significant contributions to sustainability, innovation, and outstanding operational practices.

As one of Singapore's designated air-conditioner recyclers, Gain City has forged partnerships with government authorities to expand its recycling initiatives. These efforts include the recovery of valuable materials like metals and gases through environmentally friendly processes, which play a crucial role in reducing the environmental footprint associated with electronic waste.

To celebrate this remarkable achievement, Gain City is showing appreciation to its customers by absorbing the 9% Goods and Services Tax (GST) on a selection of items, with the exclusion of Apple products, from December 3 to 29. Shoppers can check out the full list of eligible products on the company’s website to take advantage of this limited-time offer.

Presented at a grand ceremony held on November 15 in Bangkok, Thailand, the Aces Awards spotlight organizations that exemplify leadership, sustainability, and influence across Asia. Previous winners from Singapore include Aetos Holdings in 2022 and Meinhardt Group International in 2018.

Beyond its commitment to eco-friendly practices, Gain City has also been recognized for its innovative approaches and comprehensive service offerings. The company employs cutting-edge technology and artificial intelligence to streamline operations and bolster their e-commerce platform, ensuring they meet the ever-evolving demands of consumers.

In addition, Gain City prides itself on having a certified team of technicians recognized by the Building and Construction Authority, ensuring top-notch service for their customers.

"This award is a testament to Gain City's unwavering commitment to excellence and sustainability," said Kenny Teo, the managing director of Gain City.

Founded in 1981, Gain City has grown tremendously, now employing over 800 individuals and operating 11 outlets throughout Singapore. Excitingly, plans are underway to open a second megastore, a stunning 10-storey building set to debut in Tampines in 2026, following the success of their first megastore, inaugurated in Sungei Kadut back in 2015.

With its focus on sustainability, innovation, and customer satisfaction, Gain City is poised for continued growth and significance in the retail landscape of Asia. Don’t miss your chance to be part of this exciting journey!
