Unmasking Political Switches: Ong Ye Kung's Clarion Call

In a bold statement during a recent campaign walkabout, Singapore's Health Minister Ong Ye Kung emphasized that political maneuvers, including constituency changes by candidates, are acceptable as long as they are transparent with voters. He insists that the conversation should now pivot towards the critical issues facing Singapore, as the General Election campaign heats up.

"Just be upfront with voters, don’t say I’m doing it for them. That’s all I’m saying," Ong remarked, urging for honesty in political declarations.

Reflecting on the early excitement of the campaign, he stated, "We probably have to put it behind us."
