The 6th Korea YouTuber's Excellence Awards (KYEA 2024) dazzled audiences this year as Leferi, a leading global beauty creator business group, hosted their largest ceremony yet, celebrating the crème de la crème of the beauty world. Often dubbed the 'Cannes Film Festival of the Beauty Industry,' this star-studded event was led by the charming broadcaster Shin Dong-yup, with various talented beauty creators such as Minsco, LeoJ, and Arang gracing the stage as presenters.

The KYEA 2024 unwrapped its accolades based on comprehensive analysis of big data, meticulously gathered throughout the year through the recommendations of prominent Korean beauty YouTubers boasting over 1,000 subscribers. What sets this awards program apart is its commitment to authenticity; all content is produced independently, ensuring no brand sponsorship clouds the recommendations.

Numbuzin and CLIO Claims Top Honors

Among the 43 contest categories, skincare and makeup took center stage. Numbuzin, a rising star celebrated for its innovative products, triumphed in the skincare category, marking an impressive continuation of its winning streak. Previously scooping up honors in both the Rising Star and the overall skincare categories in 2021 and 2023, respectively, numbuzin continues to capture hearts worldwide.

In the fiercely contested makeup category, CLIO emerged victorious once again, adding another win to its impressive record. With accolades in 2019, 2020, and 2023, CLIO remains a household name in beauty, sharing the spotlight with other powerful brands like PERIPERA and ETUDE in the overall rankings.

Fierce Competition and Global Impact

Notably, the competition was fierce this year, with razor-thin margins evident in the skincare category boasting a staggering competition ratio of 1,785:1, and color cosmetics catching eyes with a ratio of 959:1 – the highest recorded to date. This high level of engagement showcases the growing popularity and competitiveness of K-Beauty on global platforms.

With approximately 300 guests in attendance, including 50 beauty creators and 110 brand representatives, the awards served as a vital networking opportunity. Noteworthy was the participation of international beauty YouTubers from Japan, fostering cross-border collaborations and reinforcing the impact of K-Beauty well beyond its native shores.

A Transparent and Unbiased Evaluation

The 2024 KYEA Awards witnessed an impressive evaluation of 24,619 YouTube videos created by 1,257 beauty influencers. The meticulous selection criteria combined thorough brand and product analyses with total video views, ensuring an unbiased, transparent outcome synonymous with the integrity of the awards.
