Last year, the app underwent a major redesign, introducing a convenient floating action button (FAB) shortcut and a custom camera equipped with an Auto Capture mode. Users have enjoyed enhanced editing capabilities, including options to Crop & Rotate images, apply various Filters, and Clean up imperfections such as stains and fingerprints. JPEG saving and a black & white filter were also added to elevate user experience.

Now, the game-changing “Enhance” option is set to transform the preview screen after capturing an image. By tapping the sparkle icon, users can automatically apply corrective features that enhance the quality of their scans. This includes white balance adjustments, shadow removal, contrast enhancements, auto sharpening, and improvements in lighting—no manual editing needed! Whether you’re scanning receipts, important documents, or ID cards, the difference is striking, as showcased in examples where the enhanced images appear impeccably clear and flat.

Google announced that the "Enhance" feature is rolling out now and will be fully available to all Google Workspace customers, Workspace Individual Subscribers, and users with personal Google accounts in the coming weeks.
