Organizers Jen Evans and Katie Winearls, both of whom hail from Ipswich, emphasize the urgent need for improved education and awareness within the community. Evans, a menopause advisor, shared her motivation for launching this not-for-profit initiative, rooted in her own personal health journey. "In my early 40s, I faced symptoms of what I later discovered was perimenopause, which unveiled a complex range of women's health issues that even I, as a woman, was unaware of," she revealed.

Winearls echoed these sentiments, stressing the lack of reliable resources and information accessible to women. "It's striking how little we understand our own bodies until we are experiencing a significant change or facing a health issue. We deserve better, and we shouldn't have to turn to outdated or misleading sources online for clarity on our health."
