Starting April 15, Helen will embark on a journey throughout Gloucestershire, ensuring patients can access essential services where they live. This initiative is championed by the cancer care charity Hope for Tomorrow in collaboration with Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

Originally launched in 2007 as the first of its kind, Helen’s recent refit promises to expand its capabilities. Patients typically begin their chemotherapy or immunotherapy treatments at Cheltenham General Hospital, after which they are informed about the possibility of continuing their care on the mobile unit closer to home.

Servicing Communities!

Stationed at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital, Helen travels to various communities including Cinderford, Stroud, and Cirencester, catering to up to four patients at a time, and averaging about 20 visits per day. Remarkably, in the past year alone, over 1,820 patient visits have been logged!
