On a more positive note for Sabah's political scene, Deputy Minister of Higher Education Datuk Mustapha Sakmud held onto his position as Kota Belud PKR Chief in a landslide victory, amassing 1,405 votes against lesser-known contenders.
Additionally, Datuk Peto Galim, the Assistant Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries, successfully defended his role as Sepanggar PKR chief, showing resilience in a competitive environment.
The recent PKR polls have signaled a significant transition within both Johor and Sabah, shaking the foundations of established political figures and bringing new leaders to the forefront. This reshuffling is sure to impact the future landscape of Malaysian politics.
