The study involved an extensive secondary analysis of patient experiences with medical abortion pain, drawing from data collected through an anonymous online questionnaire completed by nearly 1,600 participants between November 2021 and March 2022. The findings paint a concerning picture: nearly half of the women surveyed (48.4%) reported experiencing more pain than they had expected, with an overwhelming 92.2% indicating that their pain was moderate to severe.
