A Warning of Legal Action!

The New Lawyer law firm announced it would pursue strong legal measures against unacceptable behaviors such as personal attacks, spreading falsehoods, and posting harmful comments concerning NewJeans. This move comes as the fandom seeks to protect its beloved idols from online harassment.

In their official statement, the law firm noted that criminal procedures are actively underway concerning malicious posts identified across numerous major online platforms, including DC Inside, FM Korea, TheQoo, Naver, Daum Cafe, Nate Pann, Ruliweb, and Ppomppu. Disturbingly, the police have already commenced investigations into individuals reported for their comments on December 13, 2024, and March 13, 2025.

The legal ramifications for such behavior are serious, with penalties for defamation and obstruction of business potentially leading to sentences of up to seven years in prison or hefty fines.

The New Lawyer Law Firm emphasized its commitment to monitoring illicit activities and taking legal action against offenders, urging all fans and netizens to cease the spread of false information and refrain from posting harmful comments.

A Dose of Irony!

However, the announcement didn't sit well with all internet users. Many found it ironic that Team Bunnies, who previously laughed at similar legal actions involving other artists, were now seeking protection for NewJeans. Past behavior from this fandom, which included leaving mocking comments on other idols’ notices related to legal actions, has raised eyebrows and sparked discussions across social media platforms.

“I support their fight against malicious comments, but it’s amusing to see a fandom known for its own harsh comments turning this way,” remarked one netizen, echoing sentiments shared widely online. “They should reflect on their own actions before proceeding with threats to sue.”

Despite the controversy surrounding Team Bunnies' announcement, it highlights a significant issue within the K-pop community where fandom rivalry can often lead to toxic behavior online. As K-pop idols continue to garner massive followings, the line between passionate fandom and harmful comments can sometimes blur.

A Temporary Hiatus for NJZ

In a related note, NJZ recently announced they would be taking a temporary hiatus, adding more fuel to the conversation regarding the importance of mental health and the pressures that come with fame in the K-pop industry. Fans of the group expressed their concern for the idols' well-being, showing support in various ways amidst the turmoil.

As the conversation about online behavior continues, fans and netizens alike are left wondering if Team Bunnies will adapt and lead by example, not just for NewJeans but for the entire K-pop community. Will they change their ways, or will history repeat itself? Only time will tell!
