Fresh Recognition for Singapore's Bar Scene

In an exciting update for Singapore's nightlife, The Pinnacle Guide has unveiled its latest round of winners in May 2024, shining a spotlight on the world's best bars. This edition recognizes a total of 85 stellar bars across 12 countries, with Singapore proudly adding two venues to the prestigious list: the Cat Bite Club and Manhattan, each awarded a highly coveted PIN.

A Global Competition Like No Other

This round introduced 31 new bars, with 25 receiving one PIN and six securing two. Notably, no establishment achieved the elusive three PINs this time, leaving London’s renowned Lyaness holding the only spot in the world for that ultimate honor.

The Selection Process: Fair and Thorough

The Pinnacle Guide employs a meticulous selection process beginning with a self-nomination application. Bars are evaluated based on six core criteria—hospitality, drinks program, design, staff welfare, and community engagement. Following this, anonymous visits from trained assessors worldwide ensure a comprehensive evaluation, focusing not just on cocktails but also on the culture and values of each bar.

International Expansion and Italy’s Strong Showing

This round of selections brought The Pinnacle Guide to new heights, with five additional countries—France, Italy, Greece, Hong Kong, and Switzerland—now included. Italy stood out with six one-PIN winners in vibrant cities like Milan and Bologna. France also excelled, scoring three of the six coveted two PINs, all in Paris, featuring hotspots like Little Red Door. Athens’ Bar in Front of the Bar and London’s Kioku Sake Bar also celebrated with two PINs.
