A Unique Hotel Experience on the Tracks!

Prepare for an unforgettable adventure in Singapore with the launch of Train Pod @ one-north, the city’s first-ever train hotel! This innovative concept transforms a decommissioned MRT train into a cozy hotel complete with nostalgic interiors. Guests will be treated to actual footage of the train's past journeys displayed on overhead panels, creating an immersive experience like no other.

Book Your Stay Starting in 2025!

Opened for bookings in the second half of 2025, Train Pod features eight snug rooms, each about 7.5 square meters, housed in a renovated carriage from the famed Kawasaki-Nippon Sharyo C751B. These trains operated the North-South and East-West lines from 2000 until their retirement in 2024.

Comfort Meets Functionality!

Each air-conditioned room is designed for two guests, featuring a single bunk bed and an en-suite bathroom for total privacy. Beyond the cozy sleeping quarters, guests will have access to common amenities, including vending machines, coin-operated washing machines, an outdoor kitchen, and even an alfresco dining area furnished with original MRT train seats!

Affordable Stays to Fit Your Budget!

Room rates are quite reasonable, ranging from approximately $80++ to $90++ on weekdays and $100++ to $120++ on weekends, making it an accessible getaway for both locals and tourists.

Powered by Innovation!

Created by local startup Tiny Pod and supported by JTC Corporation, Train Pod is a creative extension of Tiny Pod's previous pop-up shipping container hotel. With a history of transforming underutilized spaces, Tiny Pod aims to bring unique lodging experiences to urban areas, evident from their successful ventures since 2020 in places like Gardens by the Bay.

A Remarkable Journey!

The decommissioned train, which received its final ride in May 2024, underwent a remarkable transformation that took around eight months and cost $300,000. The refurbishment included transporting the carriage from SMRT's Tuas Depot and using heavy-duty cranes to get it into position at JTC's LaunchPad.

Sustainability and Nostalgia!

Tiny Pod not only brings you nostalgia but also champions sustainability. Original train parts have been thoughtfully repurposed; train seats are now park benches, and even the driver's seat is preserved as a unique hotel feature.

A Bright Future Awaits!

While Train Pod @ one-north is a temporary structure allowed to operate for up to seven years, there’s talk of potential expansions based on public demand. The founder, Mr. Seah Liang Chiang, hints at possibilities for more decommissioned train carriages to join the project.

Explore New Horizons!

As Tiny Pod explores potential sites for future train hotels, including under-utilized land or industrial areas, this whimsical lodging experience could soon become a staple in the Singapore travel scene. Get ready to relive the romance of train travel—right from your very own hotel room!
