SpaceX Propels Internet Into Orbit!

In a thrilling display of rocket technology, SpaceX has once again expanded its Starlink internet constellation. On the night of April 24th, the company's Falcon 9 rocket took to the skies, successfully launching the Starlink 6-74 mission from Cape Canaveral, Florida.

The Launch Highlights!

Liftoff occurred precisely at 9:52 p.m. ET, with the Falcon 9 carrying a payload of 28 Starlink satellites packed tightly within its fairing. Fueled by nine powerful Merlin engines, the rocket soared towards low Earth orbit (LEO), marking yet another step in SpaceX's ongoing mission to blanket the globe with high-speed internet.

First Stage Booster's Impressive Return!

About 2.5 minutes into the flight, the rocket's first stage booster, known as B1069, performed a flawless main engine cutoff and separated from the upper stage. Just six minutes later, it achieved a stunning touchdown on SpaceX’s floating droneship, aptly named A Shortfall of Gravitas, located in the Atlantic Ocean. This marked B1069's 23rd flight and its 19th mission dedicated to Starlink!

New Satellites Joining the Grid!

The upper stage continued its journey into LEO, where it deployed the 28 new satellites an hour after launch. Over the following days, these satellites will maneuver into their designated orbits, becoming part of SpaceX's expanding network.

With this launch, SpaceX's Starlink network now boasts over 7,000 satellites, bringing high-speed internet access to users worldwide—except at the poles. This extensive grid provides connectivity to nearly every corner of the globe where users can point their Starlink receivers skyward.
