Instead, they were made to perform squats as a form of discipline by the traffic police during a recent operation in the Malaysian capital.

A viral video shared by Majoriti on Instagram on January 1st shows around 20 young riders, believed to be underage, responding to commands from a police officer. Their unusual punishment took place under the watchful eyes of several other officers present at the scene, while their modified bikes lined up neatly behind them.

Basikal lajak is characterized by its handlebars being lowered to the same level as the seat, which eliminates brakes and headlights—features that many consider crucial for safety. This design allows riders to perform daring moves like the "superman," where the rider lies flat on the seat, arms outstretched, speeding through the streets.
