The highly anticipated 34th Seoul Music Awards has officially launched its fan voting today, March 24, and K-pop fans worldwide are buzzing with excitement! This prestigious event is set to take place at the Inspire Arena on June 21, where the fierce competition among top artists will be showcased.

The Seoul Music Awards Organizing Committee revealed that mobile voting is now underway, and participation is expected to be massive, as the results from fans will significantly influence the winners. Fans can cast their votes via the official K-POP SEOUL app, as well as through My One Pick and Fandom Chart.

This year, the nominees have just been announced for key categories, including the Main Prize, Rookie of the Year, Popularity Award, and the Hallyu Special Award. Notably, the Popularity Award—determined by domestic votes—and the Hallyu Special Award—determined by international votes—are entirely based on fan participation! The excitement surrounding the K-POP SEOUL CHOICE category (for both groups and solo artists) further highlights the event's fan-driven nature.

Voting occurs in two rounds. The first round started today and will run from 12:00 PM on March 24 to 11:59 PM on April 12. The second round will take place from 12:00 PM on April 21 until 11:59 PM on May 10. Fans will eagerly await the final results, which will be unveiled during the awards ceremony.

The nominees were carefully selected based on the impact of albums and songs released from January 2024 to March 2025, using data from the Circle Chart to determine which artists made a significant mark on the K-pop scene during this timeframe.

In a thrilling twist, the Rising Star category kicked off its voting earlier on February 24, with 60 teams initially vying for recognition. After a vigorous round of voting, 30 teams advanced, and ultimately, a final ten contenders emerged: VVUP, POW, 82MAJOR, YOUNITE, TNX, ONE PACT, Fantasy Boys, and TEMPEST. These rising stars will have their final chance to win from May 19 to June 1.

The Rising Star category aims to provide opportunities for idol groups from smaller agencies, allowing artists who debuted within the last three years (from January 2022 to December 2024) to shine on a grand stage.
