On December 12, KST, Hyerim, widely known as Lim or Woo Hyerim, delighted her followers by sharing a charming picture of her newborn son on Instagram. She joyously revealed that she welcomed her son, affectionately named Ddaengkongie, the day before on December 11, expressing gratitude and happiness for her growing family.

“Yesterday, Ddaengkongie was born!! Ddaengkong, thank you for coming to mom and dad. THANK KONG!! I still can’t believe that I’m the mother of two sons!! Hope we get along well! Welcome to the world baby! Thank you to everyone who has been rooting for me. Both Ddaengkong and I are healthy,” Hyerim expressed in her post.

Recovery Journey After Birth

In a follow-up update, Hyerim reassured her fans about her recovery journey post-birth, mentioning that she was healing faster than she did after her first son Siwoo was born. She candidly shared her worries leading up to the delivery, which included thoughts of undergoing surgery, and expressed her relief at having a safe birth experience.

“Even though I had done it once with Siwoo, for the last ten months, I’ve been worried and scared thinking about undergoing surgery. But I’m grateful that it ended safely. More than anything, I am really relieved and thankful that I’m recovering even faster than when I was pregnant with Siwoo,” she added.

Personal Life and Career

Hyerim married taekwondo athlete Shin Min Chul in 2020 and welcomed her first son, Siwoo, on February 23, 2022. Since her debut with Wonder Girls in 2010, Hyerim has maintained a vibrant career in music, staying with JYP Entertainment until 2020, even continuing her activities after the group disbanded in 2017. Currently, she is signed under Wave Entertainment.

Scholarship and Achievements

In addition to her artistic pursuits, Hyerim is also a distinguished scholar, having graduated from Hankuk University of Foreign Studies with a degree in Interpretation. Among her notable achievements, she contributed to the Korean translation of Anne Frank's The Diary of a Young Girl.
