Dramatic Dog Rescue in Fót

On Saturday, a dramatic dog rescue took place in Fót when firefighters rescued a dog that had fallen into a more than eight-meter-deep well. The incident was shared on the Facebook page of the BM National Directorate General for Disaster Management.

Professional and volunteer firefighters from Újpest, as well as firefighters from Józsefváros, responded to the scene, mobilizing a unit with alpine technical qualifications for the rescue. As a first step, firefighters lowered a basket that the exhausted dog could cling to.

Afterwards, a brave firefighter was lowered into the well, and following the secure fastening of the animal, the dog was successfully retrieved.

During the rescue operation, not only was the dog's life endangered, but the firefighters also faced significant challenges. Fortunately, thanks to the quick and professional intervention, the dog was safely recovered and was soon able to return to its owner.
