Previously, Schumer revealed her nightmarish experience with Ozempic, a medication often used to control blood sugar levels in adults with Type 2 diabetes, which left her feeling “so sick” that she struggled to engage in play with her young son. On an episode of "Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen" in 2023, she shared, "I was one of those people that felt so sick and couldn’t play with my son. I was so skinny, and he’s throwing a ball at me and I couldn’t."

Just last month, the actress continued to discuss the detrimental effects of Ozempic during her appearance on Howard Stern's Sirius XM show, where she expressed that her condition had rendered her “bedridden” at one point. “I was, like, vomiting—and then you have no energy. But other people take it, and they’re all good. So, God bless them,” she explained.

In a surprising twist, Schumer now reports a “really good experience” with Mounjaro, a different weight loss drug that has become popular in recent months. Reflecting on her previous attempts, she remarked, “I tried Wegovy three years ago, and I was like puking, I couldn’t handle it.”

Currently navigating perimenopause, Schumer shared that she's found relief from her symptoms thanks to a combination of hormones and Mounjaro. “My symptoms of being in perimenopause have disappeared. My hair is fuller, my skin is better, I have more energy," Schumer disclosed. She even added a cheeky note about her revitalized sex life, saying, “I want to get down more, if you know what I mean—I’m talking about sex.”
