In a heartwarming moment for fans of the iconic film, all five stars of "The Breakfast Club" reunited this past Saturday, 40 years after those unforgettable detention days at Shermer High School.

Molly Ringwald, Emilio Estevez, Judd Nelson, Ally Sheedy, and Anthony Michael Hall graced the stage at the C2E2 pop culture convention in Chicago, where they reminisced about their time filming the 1985 classic under the legendary direction of John Hughes.

An emotional Ringwald, who played the glamorous Claire Standish, expressed her joy saying, "I feel very emotional and moved to have us all together." She cheekily pointed out that Estevez was actually present this time, humorously stating, "We don’t have to use the cardboard cutout anymore!"

Estevez responded with a grin, remarking that being together at C2E2—right in the city where the film was shot—made the reunion feel even more special.

As the conversation unfolded, Hall shared an interesting nugget about his audition process, revealing, "John just called up and said, ‘I want you to come in.’ He didn’t have a script. He didn’t give me a script." Ringwald added her perspective, noting, "Originally, [Hughes] was gonna do 'The Breakfast Club' before he did 'Sixteen Candles.' They decided to make the latter first because of its instant appeal.”

Sheedy, who portrayed the enigmatic Allison Reynolds, reflected on the deep bond formed among the cast, saying, "We all really do love each other. It was a dream. A joyful experience."

As fans left the event, it was clear that the magic of 'The Breakfast Club' continues to resonate—both in the hearts of those who experienced it then and in the legions of new fans embracing this timeless coming-of-age story today.
