Toronto police are on the hunt for a 48-year-old man who allegedly removed his court-ordered GPS ankle monitor following a violent attack on a victim in Scarborough.

The man, identified as Gregory Golding from Toronto, was initially arrested on September 4, 2024, and charged with multiple firearm-related offenses. As part of his release conditions, he was mandated to wear the ankle monitor to ensure compliance, which he later removed under suspicious circumstances.

The disturbing incident occurred on April 7, 2025, when Golding is accused of assaulting and sexually assaulting a victim in a residence located near Eglinton Avenue East and Midland Avenue. After committing the crime, he allegedly fled the scene, disabling the tracking device that was intended to keep him under surveillance.

Golding is facing serious charges including one count each of assault and sexual assault, alongside three counts of failing to comply with his release order. Authorities describe him as five-foot-nine with a thin build and short black hair.
