This announcement arrives a mere two months after the tech giant initially announced that the high-end VR device would be available until the end of the year or until inventory was depleted—whichever came first. Clearly, it seems demand was not as robust as Meta had hoped.

The Quest Pro, priced at $999, is now marked as “no longer available” on its product page, directing customers to consider the newer Meta Quest 3, which has received more favorable reviews due to its lighter design and overall improved user experience. While the Quest Pro's Touch Pro controllers remain available for purchase and are compatible with the Quest 2 and newer models, the future of the Quest Pro headset looks bleak.
