Meet the LAN Party House in Austin, Texas – a state-of-the-art gaming retreat that Varda has spent over three years and a staggering million dollars creating. Complete with 22 gaming stations, it’s designed to be the ultimate destination for local area network gaming, but you might not be on the guest list!

The Innovative Design

LAN parties were the go-to gathering for friends looking to engage in competitive gaming before the age of widespread high-speed internet. Varda's innovative home design brings that concept back to life with a modern twist, allowing friends to simply drop by, plug in, and play without the hassle of transportation.

Impressive Gaming Setup

The intricacies of the house's design are impressive. In the basement, there’s a dedicated gaming room featuring 12 folding wall cabinets, each one concealing a gaming station. There are two additional call rooms with separate setups for private matches, not to mention an office that doubles as a tabletop gaming arena. But it doesn't stop there; a large table unfurls to reveal another six powerful gaming PCs along with two workstations.

Each gaming rig boasts top-notch specifications, including an Intel Core i5-13600 CPU, a GeForce RTX 4070 GPU, and a generous 32GB of RAM, ensuring smooth streaming and intense gameplay.

Varda's extensive investment of around $75,000 on just the gaming stations comes on top of the overall six-figure transformation of the house into a captivating gaming haven. With a focus on team-based games like Deep Rock Galactic and classic modes of Unreal Tournament 2004, Varda has curated a gaming experience not solely for hardcore players but for families and casual gamers alike. There's even a dedicated area with four Dance Dance Revolution (DDR) pads for those looking to mix entertainment with movement!

Exclusivity and Privacy

However, these gatherings are exclusive. Varda emphasizes the need for security and privacy, asserting that not everyone can join in on the fun. “Sorry, you must be invited. I’m sure you understand,” he explains, reflecting a sense of responsibility that goes beyond the thrill of gaming.

A Legacy of Gaming Transformation

Interestingly, this isn't Varda’s first endeavor into transforming a home into a gaming paradise. The predecessor, a 1,400-square-foot property in Palo Alto, California, was similarly a hotspot for gaming culture back in 2011. Despite its success, Varda acknowledges that it was not suitable for family life and decided to invest in a space that could accommodate both his passion for gaming and his two children.
