Currently, Big Star Sandwich operates eight locations across Metro Vancouver but has yet to establish one within Vancouver city limits itself. That’s about to change as they put up signs and prepare for the renovations of their new space. Since its inception in 2013 in New Westminster, Big Star Sandwich has been making waves known for their made-to-order sandwiches served on the signature filone bread. Notable creations include the popular number 17, a hearty beef dip sandwich, and the number 20, featuring a savory combination of corned beef and hickory sticks.

In 2017, the chain gained international media attention when famed actor Liam Neeson took advantage of their innovative marketing strategy, an advertisement claiming, “Liam Neeson eats here for free.”

Although there’s no official opening date yet, the anticipation is palpable.
