This upheaval has opened up the rankings for Miami (No. 7), Tennessee (No. 8), and SMU (No. 9), all of whom capitalized on the misfortunes of their rivals by advancing three spots.

Arizona State made the most notable impact this week, surging from No. 22 to No. 15 after a hard-fought 28-23 victory over BYU. Unfortunately for the Cougars, their ranking took a hit, spiraling from a peak of No. 8 just two weeks ago down to No. 20, following their consecutive losses.

While Army managed to hold on to a top 25 spot, slipping five places to No. 22, Colorado’s fortunes were far bleaker as they dropped completely out of the rankings.
