As Florida and the Southern United States begin the arduous process of recovery from the devastating effects of Hurricanes Helene and Milton, celebrities from various fields are stepping up to lend their support.

On Wednesday, Feeding America expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Taylor Swift for her remarkable $5 million donation designated for hurricane relief efforts affecting Florida, the Carolinas, Georgia, and Tennessee. This generous contribution comes as Hurricane Milton, a Category 3 storm, endangered countless lives and properties in the region.

Claire Babineaux-Fontenot, the CEO of Feeding America, stated, "We’re incredibly grateful to Taylor Swift for her generous $5 million donation to Hurricanes Helene and Milton relief efforts. This contribution will help communities rebuild and recover, providing essential food, clean water, and supplies to people affected by these devastating storms. Together, we can make a real impact in supporting families as they navigate the challenges ahead. Thank you, Taylor, for standing with us in the movement to end hunger and for helping communities in need."

Blake Lively and her husband Ryan Reynolds also joined the cause with a significant contribution of $1 million to Feeding America. Babineaux-Fontenot highlighted the importance of their ongoing commitment, saying, "Their longtime support of Feeding America in times of crisis has helped our network on the ground before, during, and after disasters. These funds will help food banks provide basic needs like water, ready-to-eat food, and supplies to communities facing heartbreaking loss and a long recovery."

Meanwhile, Feeding America has been actively mobilizing its resources, deploying over 140 truckloads of food, water, and other critical supplies to 11 food banks in the affected regions since Hurricane Helene made landfall.

In a show of solidarity, NFL superstar Tom Brady announced his own $100,000 donation on Thursday, which was subsequently matched by Give with Gopuff. In a heartfelt message on X, Brady urged everyone to "keep those impacted by these storms in your prayers, look out for your neighbors, and continue to help out any way you’re able." He concluded with a message of resilience: "Stay safe, and stay strong, Florida."

Adding to the wave of generosity, country music legend Dolly Parton also contributed a substantial $1 million to the Mountain Ways initiative, which is focused on delivering immediate relief to the East Tennessee, Western North Carolina, and Appalachian regions. In her emotional statement, she shared, “I am totally with you because I am part of you. I have a lot of my own relatives that live here, and when we heard about this it was devastating—not just because it was my family, but because all these people feel like my people. We all feel related, and we are in some sort of way."

Parton emphasized the importance of community solidarity, saying, "You’re never prepared, you just try to step up. God has been good to me, and so has the public, and I feel like if there’s anything I can do to give back in any way I can, I’m always willing to do that."

The contributions from these stars are a shining example of how public figures can make a significant impact during times of crisis, inspiring others to join the cause and assist those in need. The recovery from Hurricanes Helene and Milton will be a long journey, but with the support of the community and these influential individuals, hope remains alive.
