Historic Leadership as PM Wong Leads the Charge

SINGAPORE – Prime Minister Lawrence Wong is all set to spearhead the People’s Action Party (PAP) team for the Marsiling-Yew Tee Group Representation Constituency (GRC) in the highly anticipated 2025 General Election, marking his first electoral appearance as Prime Minister.

Joining him will be a steadfast team of incumbents: Senior Minister of State for Defence and Manpower Zaqy Mohamad, North West District Mayor Alex Yam, and MP Hany Soh. This team dynamic was unveiled by Wong during a press conference at PAP's Limbang branch on April 12.

A Steady Team in Turbulent Times

Wong emphasized that while the Marsiling-Yew Tee team remains unchanged, voters should brace themselves for more significant changes in other constituencies. He expressed confidence in presenting their plans to Singaporeans in hopes of securing their support during these challenging times.

Community Revitalization on the Horizon

Last weekend, the PAP shared an ambitious five-year masterplan with Marsiling-Yew Tee residents, promising a wave of new amenities. Expect modern community clubs, vibrant parks, and enhanced sustainability features sprouting up in the neighborhood.

Future projects also include exciting developments like the revamp of the Kranji Racecourse and the enhancement of the Woodlands Checkpoint.

Breaking New Ground for Leadership

Wong’s choice to remain in Marsiling-Yew Tee GRC amid fierce electoral competition in other regions reflected his commitment to the area. "It doesn’t matter where I stand – I will lead my team into elections, regardless of the constituency," he stated resolutely.
