The challenging pro race featured a grueling 100km course consisting of a two-kilometre swim, an 80km cycle through breathtaking Marina Bay, and an 18km run. Alex, along with fellow athletes Joseph Yeung and Calvin Katsun, formed a relay team for the amateur category.

The camaraderie of the team was captured in an Instagram post by Yeung, showcasing their vibrant spirit during race registration and at the iconic Buddha Tooth Relic Temple in bustling Chinatown. Moreover, fans were treated to a glimpse of Alex with his new wife, Maple Yip, as they enjoyed the trip together.
